According to several reports, the mid-year budget review presentation in Parliament has been postponed. The presentation was expected to be delivered by the Finance Minister, Kennedy Ofori Atta on Tuesday 25th July 2023.

Meanwhile, the minority in Parliament couldn’t agree on the government’s plans to present the mid-year budget on July 27th.

But the whole exercise, said to be in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) and Regulation 24 of the Public Financial Management Regulations (L.I. 2378), has been adjourned to Monday, July 31.

The presentation is a review of the government’s 2023 Economic Policy and Financial Statement delivered to Parliament by Mr Ofori-Atta on Thursday, November 24.
