A flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has criticised the attack on his agent in the North East region leading to him sustaining eye injuries.

Alan Kyerematen who visited the victim at the Agarwal’s Eye Hospital in Accra said he would not tolerate the behaviour again going into the November 4 primary.

He says the level of the exercise that took place last Saturday shouldn’t have had such indiscipline, and has expressed shock over its occurrence.

“What happened to my colleague on Saturday was an act of total indiscipline and indecent behaviour. How do we as a decent party, go into an election, particularly at the level of super delegates, superintend such behaviour?” he said.

According to Mr. Kyerematen, he joined the NPP for the commitment he has for the values of the party and recent developments are contrary to what the NPP is known for.

He has questioned how the party will be able to organize the November 4 primary without recording any of such incident act if a conference of the special delegates nature could not sustain the party’s integrity.

“We all joined the NPP because of our commitment to the values of the party. But what is happening clearly shows that this is not what we bargained for by joining the party. I’m not going to tolerate this kind of behaviour.

It doesn’t make sense and when we cannot conduct ourselves as a family, try to select a leader, in a peaceful and organized manner, how do we intend to be able to do the same kind of process when we have 230k people gathered?” he questioned.

“So, I’m frankly quite disturbed, about what has happened. The party must not put a shine about this kind of incident,” he added.Super Delegates Conference: Our goal was to have Alan Kyerematen in top 5, we succeeded – Buaben Asamoa
