A bold group of explorers from Accra, Ghana, embarked on a road trip to London, UK, and recently shared a final video of their adventure. After starting their journey on July 23, 2023, in Accra, they reached the United Kingdom on August 6, 2023.
The video, capturing their moments before arrival, garnered praise from online viewers. The Wanderlust Ghana team also posted a video while driving through Calais, France, on Sunday, August 6.
The video shows the team on the road not long before arriving in London, UK. Already some members are waiting to celebrate them at the UK Ashford Designer Outlet Mall, said Wanderlust Ghana.
One of the 13 adventurous Ghanaians who embarked on the journey from Accra to London is a young woman named Nana Afua Serwaa Adusei, also known as ‘ Shecanic’ .
She joined the group and traveled with them to Morocco, covering a distance of 5, 650km. Photos of Afua Serwaa surfaced online, garnering praise and admiration from internet users.
The historic trip gained traction on both social media and mainstream media, including an interview with the travellers by BBC. Despite the accolades primarily being directed towards the male participants, it was revealed that Nana Afua Serwaa Adusei was among the travellers, highlighting her significant contribution to the journey.
Afua Serwaa, who is also known as Shecanic, traveled with the team to Morocco where they were given special treatment because of Abedi Pele. She did a distance of 5, 650km. According to Wanderlust Ghana, Shecanic’s purpose for joining the trip was for her to master her art as an auto repair technician.
