Details of the final funeral rite of the late Rev. Anthony Boakye released
Rev. Dr Anthony Kwadwo Boakye was a renowned man of God who passed away on Tuesday night, February 21, 2023, at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital. He had been battling a stroke since November 2021, which left him bedridden. Despite seeking medical care at private facilities, he was eventually referred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
In November 2022, Rev. Boakye told his church members an extraordinary story. He claimed that he died and was resurrected after five days. He emphasized his strong faith in Jesus, stating that it was this faith that brought him back to life. His video message to the church captured the attention of many.
Members of the church were deeply affected by his passing, and upon hearing the news, they gathered at the premises of his church to pay their respects.

The late Rev. Dr. Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, the founder, and leader of Resurrection Power New Generation Church, will be laid to rest with a series of funeral events. He passed away in February of this year.
The funeral arrangements include laying in state at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center on Friday, the 4th, and Saturday, the 5th of August. The burial service will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, 5th August, while the interment will be a private burial.
On 6th August, the church’s auditorium in Accra will host the Thanksgiving service to celebrate the life of the late Rev. Dr. Anthony Boakye.
